Confirmation Cake

This was my first paid baking job!!! Two dozen red velvet cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting, two dozen vanilla cinnamon cupcakes with a cinnamon buttercream frosting both topped with silver fondant crosses and then two cakes one for my friend's neice and nephew. It was their confirmation.

Fall cupcakes

My first time playing with making fondant. I made these little leaves for a spice cake cupcake for fall.

If you like then you should of put a ring on it...

For my soon to be sister-in-law's engagement party I made these red velvet cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting and a little bling!

Pink lemonade cupcakes

Fun for the summer...pink lemonade cupcakes with a lime candy wedge.

Mom's knitting cupcakes

My mom is an amazing knitter and has her own business http://www.cutiepiehats.com/ where she sells the cutest homemade knit hats of animals, characters, and flowers. To honor her love of knitting I used my love of baking to make her these spools of yarn cupcakes.

Sourcream blueberry cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting

While these aren't the cutest cupcakes, they were delicious! Definitely a recipe to keep.

Chinese food for cupcakes?

That's what I thought but my niece also saw these in a book so besides the microphones we made Chinese food take-out...her favorite food. We did chow mein and fried rice. Each girl got to eat their microphone cupcake and take the Chinese food home in a Chinese food take-out box. While I like Chinese food, these may be tastier!

Microphone cupcakes

These were for my niece's birthday. She saw them in a book so we had a cupcake party and each girl got to make these.

Father's Day "hamburger's and fries"

A friend saw these online and wanted to do them but thought they were too much to handle so I jumped in and told her I thought we could do it no problem. Well, three hours and seven kids trying to help later we had these creations. The dad's liked them. The "hamburgers" were brownie patties with yellow cake buns and frosting condiments. The "fries" were sugar cookie strips.

Julia's Princess Birthday Cake

Julia wanted a Sleeping Beauty cake and this is what I came up with. I used the big top cupcake pan for the dress and poor Barbie had to sacrifice her legs for the project but I like how it came out and so did Julia, which is all that matters.

Daughter's birthday cake

This is my daughters 6th birthday cake. She really picked out all the design. She knew exactly what she wanted. Too many episodes of cake boss I guess! She wanted it to look like a present with flowers on it. It was a strawberry cake with a strawberry frosting covered in fondant with a fondant ribbon and mini fondant flowers.

Red Velvet Bundt Cake

I made this bundt cake for my friend's baby shower. She is having a little girl so I added the pink flowers. It was red velvet with mini chocolate chips and a cream cheese frosting. I also made mini versions for the favors.

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my blog. I've created this site to show off the cupcakes that I have started making. I hope you enjoy looking as much as I've enjoyed making them.
